I have design training materials that integrate a comprehensive approach to ensure students are learning every aspect of the discipline at hand. For example, the class room training for health inspectors corresponded with actual field visits to ensure that students had a visualization of the theories being discussed in the class room. In my current role as a CLE instructor, I have worked on multiple power points and online presentations that are broadcasted to multiple locations as needed. I employ the Socratic method of teaching when training lawyers and high-school/college bound students. I find that interactive learning makes sessions more fruitful and inspires dialog so that a sharing of ideas and interpretations assist the student in not only understanding the materials but also assist in retaining core concepts so that the information is useful and can be recalled when needed.
I have over 10 years of training and tutoring experience. Both in a class room setting, and one on one tutoring, I have found that regardless of the discipline, students want to have an interactive learning experience and learn the nuances of communication in clear and concise language, be it verbally or in writing.
