As we know, driving a vehicle is influenced by a combination of psychological, emotional, cultural and even physical factors. It's therefore not surprising that each person behaves slightly differently on the road.

In addition, factors such as mood and stress, experience and confidence, the country or region where you learned to drive, your education and values or physical conditions all play a very important role in your behavior behind the wheel. And although this is not always the case, it is true that your driving style can even be a reflection of your personality.

Are you curious to know what your driving tendencies say about you? Then you're in the right place! Answer the following questions in our quiz and find out what kind of personality you have. Let's go!

What Kind of Driver Are You in Traffic?

As mentioned earlier, driving behavior can reveal a lot about a person's personality and emotional state. Although in our quiz we divided personality types into three main groups, there are many different types of drivers:

🗣️
Aggressive Driver
Speeding sharply, overtaking dangerously and getting angry easily can show that you have a low tolerance for frustration, that you are going through periods of stress or anxiety, or that you have an impulsive personality.

🧘🏽‍♀️
Calm and Patient Driver
You drive calmly, respecting speed limits and giving way when necessary. This may indicate that you are a balanced, empathetic person who copes well with stress.

🫨
Distracted Driver
Constantly being on your cell phone or not paying attention to signs can be a sign of a lack of focus or a very busy mind. It could also indicate that you tend to be easily distracted in other areas of life.

😇
Overly Cautious Driver

If you are too cautious, going below the speed limit or hesitating in simple situations, this can show insecurity or a lack of confidence, both in traffic and in other aspects of life.

☺️
Solidarity Driver
People who stop to help other drivers, make it easier for other cars to get into traffic or say thank you with gestures are generally seen as kind, collaborative and concerned about collective well-being.

🪩
Vain Driver
Always with loud music blasting from the speakers, this type of driver loves the limelight and tends to be very competitive on the road. Safety usually takes a back seat.

How to Be an Exemplary Driver

Obviously, knowing the rules of the road well and having a good control of the car and all its functions is essential for good driving. But to be an exemplary driver you need to go beyond these skills: it involves a combination of respect, attention, patience and responsibility on the road.

To begin with, it is essential to respect speed limits, adapting to road conditions (rain, fog, night, etc.). This will enable you to anticipate dangerous situations and act accordingly. In addition, it is important to avoid distractions such as cell phones, the radio, food or other activities that divert your attention.

It's also essential to be prudent behind the wheel and always signal your actions: the blinker is essential, you must always signal that you are going to change lanes or turn, even if it seems obvious.

You should also remember to wear your seatbelt and make sure that all passengers in the car are wearing them. It's also essential to take care of the vehicle frequently: tires, brakes, lights and oil should always be in good condition, and the documents, inspection and insurance should be up to date.

Traffic can be frustrating, it's true, but you can be sure that keeping calm is the best way to avoid conflicts, or even worse, accidents! So don't react to provocation: if a driver acts badly, don't respond aggressively. It's essential to remain patient on the road at all times, regardless of your personality type!
