About Harold
I have always been an honor roll student and have always been an excellent tester. I used to work in the math lab as a tutor at Sacramento City College and have developed many creative ways to help people to understand different types of concepts. And I understand fun! I want this to be a nice, relaxed experience for you in addition to being an educational one.

Translation is my method of teaching. We will take whatever problem and translate the given problem into a version of the problem that can be understood better. I love to use diagrams and metaphors as modes of teaching. I am patient and understand that comfort level is a huge component of learning! I tutor for General Physics, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Calculus, Differential Equations, Trigonometry, Algebra, and basic Spanish (1). I prefer to just meet on a regular basis (about 2 times per week) as a check-in and a refresher to whatever new topics may have been learned that week. I find that consistency trumps all, and that leads to the most success. I will assign practice problems to be completed between sessions that highlight what we went over and what will be discussed in that person's future class sessions.
