About Karen
I know how math can be scary and stressful because I experienced how difficult they can be. It was until I found a great math teacher who took the time to patiently teach me. I will do that for you too. I don't give up on my students because I know one can always learn.

I pay attention to where the student finds a topic difficult and i break the concept down until the student understands. My approach is to start with simple examples and build on them as concepts/ rules are applied so the student sees how the simpler ones differ to the new lessons. I oftentimes start a lesson by explaining the concept and do a couple of examples then do activities and eventually quiz the student to check if comprehension on that lesson was achieved. I adjust my approach and teaching style based on the student's grade level. I teach hihgschool and college level algebra and geometry.
