About David

With over 10 years of piano teaching experience and a music degree, I believe in fostering a creative and engaging environment for every student, no matter their age or skill level. My lessons are customized to fit the individual needs of each student, ensuring that they can progress at their own pace while building solid technical foundations. For beginners, I focus on developing the basics: hand positioning, rhythm, and note reading. I also introduce the joy of music-making through simple songs and exercises. As students advance, I guide them through more complex technical challenges like advanced scales, arpeggios, and sight-reading. I encourage students to explore a variety of musical styles, including classical, jazz, pop, and contemporary, to broaden their musical horizon. Ear training and improvisation are also key components of my lessons, which help students become more confident musicians. I also incorporate performance opportunities to help students build stage presence and gain valuable performance experience. My goal is to nurture each student's unique musical voice while ensuring they have fun learning and growing as musicians.

About the lesson

As a classically trained pianist with a degree in music and over 10 years of teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students discover the joy of playing the piano. My lessons include a variety of genres, such as classical, jazz, and contemporary pop, encouraging students to explore different musical styles and find their personal voice. I also emphasize the importance of ear training, improvisation, and sight-reading. Through performance opportunities, I help students build confidence and stage presence, ensuring they feel prepared for recitals, exams, and other musical performances.
