I am a self & University taught in arts & studied many different mediums, but I gravitate towards the more craftier or folksy side of the arts spectrum I would say.
I can teach just about any media or medium a student is interested in at any level in art, but my personal style is more in the abstract range.
I start with the basics & like to give each student a primer to build from in any art form.
The only limitation is one's imagination & there are no mistakes, only lessons.
Sometimes art is just playing around with the medium until it sparks a muse or you can start with the spark of an idea & search for what seems like forever for just the right medium to bring your idea into reality.
I have been teaching community art classes to the young & old in my community for years through donating my time to local libraries & various homeschooling groups upon request for over a decade. I also take time to teach classes at local senior centers when they have large enough groups that are interested in taking so art classes.
On a more personal level, I create my own artwork in my home studio & sell some of it online when it starts to get too cluttered or I donate it out into the community.
My rate is a flat hourly rate for all ages & levels per hour.
I prefer to base it on my actual skill & experience than worry about what I am teaching each person or the value of what I am teaching them.
My fee is very fair & worth every penny since I typically bring additional supplies with me or allow my students to use my supplies, but it does depend on the projects.
