About Isabel
My name is Isabel Lopez. I am a freshman student at Clemson University majoring in Architecture and minoring in Psychology. I graduated from Riverside High School in Greenville, South Carolina. Music has always been a big part of my life, beginning in sixth grade when I began playing flute. Playing an instrument required plenty involvement in auditions for honors bands, which I have been a part of every time I've auditioned. I joined the marching band as well in high school, then became drum major my third year involved in it. I have always been very involved academically as well as with extracurriculars, including Math Honors Society, National Honors Society, Science National Honors Society, Music Honors Society, Key Club, French Honors Society, as well as track, and cross country. This will be my ninth year playing flute. Here in college, I do not have to take any prerequisites for my major because I finished them in high school. I am second chair flute player in the symphony here at Clemson, and am involved in other organizations and clubs, including Latinos United, and Running Club. I look forward to helping any students I can to perform to the best of their ability and excel in their flute skills.

-I take a very "try it on your own first" method at first in order to find where the student seems to be stuck and where improvement is needed
- Student has the responsibility to work outside of lessons on excerpts I may give them
- I request at least one in person lesson to listen to student's playing
