About Taylor
I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Physics at UChicago with five years tutoring experience. My role as a TA for Advanced Mechanics and Statistical Mechanics taught me to break down complex theories into approachable modules. I guide students through astrophysics by simulating exoplanet detection and black-hole accretion flows in Python, reinforce quantitative physics via finite-difference PDE solvers and MATLAB labs, review foundational science (mechanics, electromagnetism, optics) with hands-on PhET demonstrations, and decipher thermodynamics (entropy, Gibbs free energy, Maxwell relations) through interactive virtual experiments. We also explore other science topics like quantum materials and photonics research through article dissections. Each lesson integrates conceptual lectures, guided coding exercises, and AP/college-level problem sets to build both intuition and technical rigor.
