About Gary
I earned my B.M.E. in 1981, performed on stages since the mid 1950's. Studied classical guitar with Guillermo Fierens. Worked with some great musicians and entertainers. Honorable Discharge U.S.A.F. where I was in Electronic Warfare Systems Counter-Measures. Teaching guitar and music theory for years.

I teach how to hold the instrument and both fingerpicking and with plectrum pick. There are Five Forms of major chords based on the roots located on each string. Navigate in any direction. Humans have two legs and therefore I teach basics at a tempo of 60 beats per minute which is a healthy steady pulse of one beat per second. Basic beat divided into one, two, three and four equal parts. Rest strokes and free strokes, nail strokes and flesh strokes. Changing chords, improvising techniques and much more. The guitar is used in many styles of music and is both used as a solo instrument and in groups settings.
