About Rachel
I have a Certificate in Voice Instruction from the American Conservatory of Music and 3 years of experience teaching singing to complete beginners of all ages. I love helping people discover their voice for the first time and building their confidence in a supportive, encouraging environment where beginners feel safe to try new things. My teaching methods include immediate vocal coaching during lessons, which research shows helps beginning singers develop proper technique much faster than delayed feedback. I've helped many nervous beginners overcome their fear of singing and discover they have beautiful voices they never knew existed.

Singing lessons are perfect for complete beginners who have never sung before or want to start over with proper technique. We begin with the very basics of breathing, posture, and voice production, then gradually work up to singing beautiful songs in whatever style you enjoy most. I show you exactly how to use your voice safely and effectively, then we practice together, and finally you sing on your own while I give you immediate tips to help you improve. If you're interested in learning piano too, I can teach you simple piano skills alongside your singing, like playing basic chords or melodies that support your voice. This is completely optional and only if you want to learn both instruments. Every lesson includes achievable goals that help you hear your progress clearly, plus fun practice exercises you can do between lessons to keep improving.
