About Jose

I am Jose Sanchez, a passionate watercolour artist and oil painter based right here in the heart of London. Though I hail from the vibrant streets of Madrid, where my artistic journey began with graffiti in 2007, my true evolution as an artist blossomed in London. My foundation in the arts was cemented with a degree in Fine Arts, after which I immersed myself in the Spanish art scene, painting landscapes and participating in fast painting competitions alongside fellow artists. However, seeking a new chapter and growth, I took the leap to relocate to London in 2018. This city not only broadened my horizons but introduced me to the world of watercolours. The challenges of recent years, particularly the coronavirus crisis, were transformative for my art. They led to the birth of one of my most cherished projects, the "Lockdown Portraits". Today, aside from continuing my personal art journey, I'm thrilled to share my passion, techniques, and experiences through my online store and YouTube channel, where I delve into the nuances of watercolours, discuss art supplies, and so much more. So why do I want to teach? Because I believe in the transformative power of art. It has reshaped my life, and I want to guide, inspire, and share the joy of artistic expression with each of you.

Here's what I offer: Versatile Techniques: Specialising in watercolour, oil, and drawing. Flexible Learning: Primarily online classes with potential for in-person sessions. Focused Teaching Style: Realistic approach with emphasis on foundational concepts applicable across techniques. Availability: Tuesday afternoons, Thursdays, Friday afternoons, and Sundays.
