I am currently a senior at university majoring in Japanese Studies. I have been learning the Japanese language now for the past 6 years. Because I am a native English speaker, I can understand the common problems that arise when learning the language and how to resolve them. I think the best way to teach is to understand the student's strengths and weaknesses and then approach the material in that mindset while at the same time keeping things varied.
I have tutored some friends in a more casual setting and have had passed their exams. In terms of a more professional setting, I have not yet been able to teach Japanese but rather use it to communicate with customers.
