About Catherine

I have over 10 years of experience teaching singing and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. I love blending traditional vocal techniques with modern technology to help my students shine. Using tools like DAWs, vocal processors, and studio microphones, I prepare singers for studio recording and songwriting. My focus is on genres like R&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian, where emotion and storytelling are key. In lessons, we work on lyric interpretation, tone shaping, harmonies, and phrasing to bring songs to life. I tailor my approach to fit both hobbyists who want to improve for fun and aspiring recording artists aiming for the studio. I believe every voice has its own unique story, and my goal is to help you tell it with clarity and passion. Using technology, I help students hear themselves in new ways and build confidence. Together, we explore the creative side of music and discover how to express your true self through singing. Whether you want to polish your sound or write your own songs, I’m here to guide you. About the lesson

My singing lessons for orchestra members and crossover artists focus on building strong music literacy and sight-singing skills. We start with notation reading, helping you understand how music is written and how to interpret it easily. Interval training is a key part of the process, improving your ability to hear and sing different distances between notes. Rhythm exercises keep you steady and confident, while harmony building helps you blend and create rich sounds with others.

Each persona benefits from steady, focused practice. For orchestra members, this means connecting what you see on the page with what you hear and sing, strengthening that ear-mind-voice link. Crossover artists develop flexibility by blending styles while maintaining strong music fundamentals. I use sight-singing apps and rhythm trainers to make practice engaging and fun. Notation tools help break down complex music into simple, clear steps.

Lessons are designed to be encouraging and accessible, so you always feel motivated to improve. With regular practice, you’ll notice your skills grow naturally.
