About Kate
Having lived in both Paris and Arras, France for over a year and a half, I have worked daily with people in French. I also studied French in high school and college into the upper-graduate levels. I have real-world experience with the day-to-day language and culture of one of the most richly historic and diverse countries in the world. I love French and can help you to love it too! I love listening to French music, watching French entertainment, and most of all: traveling to France and other francophone countries! The map of the Paris metro and train system makes me giddy. I created a 10-page, extensively organized first-timer's guide to traveling to Paris for friends and family -- that's how much I love Paris! My current French favorites include Louane's latest album Sentiments Heureux and the Netflix series Lupin -- give them a try and let's chat! I am a stay-at-home mom to two adorable children who I'm trying to convince to love French as much as I do. I am working towards DELF/DALF certification and plan to teach French in school once my children are older.

A typical session includes an assessment of previous knowledge and experience, work on whatever school course work is needed or topic of interest, practice speaking and listening, Q&A time, and end with a little time listening to or watching the latest in French music and culture together.
