Hi, my name’s Tina (she/her). I’m a professional dancer, choreographer, and youth instructor based in Chicago, IL. My passion for teaching began in 2017 while volunteering abroad for an outreach organization called Juntos. With Juntos, I performed and taught in various underserved communities within Guatemala. Since then, I’ve taught for organizations like The Boys & Girls Club of Chicago, The Irving Park and Evanston YMCAs, Gigi Tonye’ Arts & Fitness, En Las Tablas Performing Arts, Music House, Nexus Performing Arts, Chicago School of Musical Arts, and People’s Center for Contemporary and Cultural Arts. I strongly believe that teaching provides me with an opportunity to positively impact the lives of others. The J.O.D. (Joy of Dance) is real! And I love sharing it with my students. Through our sessions, I’ll work to help you reach whatever your dance goals may be while ensuring that safety and proper technique are prioritized.
