I have a BS in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from UConn, a MS in Biology from Southern CT State University, and a MS in Biological Sciences from Auburn University. I have 4.5 years of teaching experience at the college level and have substitute taught grades 3 and 4 but am available to teach at any level. I like to through a variety of approaches because different students learn differently. This includes lectures, hands on activities, videos, etc.
I taught zoology and anatomy & physiology at the college level for 4.5 years. My educational background focused on the areas of general biology, ecology, evolution, conservation biology, fisheries, and animal behavior. This will be my first time tutoring, though I look forward to having a greater impact by teaching on a one-on-one level. In the field I have worked with fish, mammals, insects, amphibians, reptiles, plants, and more. I have also worked in 3 labs: ornithology, ichthyology, and immunology.
