My teaching philosophy stems on four core values: 1) inclusion, 2) competence, 3) engagement and 4) relevance.
Learning is an emotional process. A common barrier in teaching complex medical cases is the pre-existing barriers and pre-conceived notions about the difficulty of the subject.
Students sometimes are like lost children in a mall: blinded by their emotions, you have to grab them by the hand and guide them to a safe place until they feel at ease. Although, there is no one-size-fits all for teaching I pretend to teach students in what they know. Yet, in the end, it is really the students who pretend to teach me.

Teaching methods are fluid and flexible to meet the students' areas-of-improvement.
A typical lesson plan consist of diagnosing barriers on understanding abstract concepts on life and medical sciences. That follows with identifying facilitators for learning, memory retention and consolidation. Assignments and practice material are optional.
