About Adriana

I am a recent graduate of the QFB degree at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. I practice taekwondo since I was 7 years old and from there it became my passion. While I was studying I started training more regularly, training was something that took me out of the world of stress and made me feel better. To take my black belt exam, they asked us to do a social service that could be giving warm-ups in classes, however, at my university I had many friends who did not have the possibility of paying a monthly fee or going to a remote place to train, so after talking to many people and asking for permission, they gave me the opportunity to teach at my university, 3 times a week I gave classes from 2 to 4 (for those who went in the afternoon) and from 4 to 6 for who went in the morning. I began to have groups of more than 20 people at each time. And I managed to make them get along, that they were friends who shared the same passion. Legally I could not receive payment for my classes, because they are services offered by the university at no cost and in theory the university is the one who should pay me, but it was never interested in making taekwondo official, like soccer or basketball, so I spent about a year giving classes for pure pleasure, my payment was always to receive many students with interest and pleasure in what I taught them and to see in their exams receive recognition from other teachers for doing very well. The pandemic arrived and it affected us all, but resilience is something very important. I continued to give my classes but this time online, the number of boys dropped a bit because nobody likes to practice something physical without having any contact, plus we all believed that it would not last long, for that reason, many decided to wait for them to resume face-to-face classes. But those who stayed and I worked on what we normally did not pay so much attention to in-person classes and in the gradual return to face-to-face classes, the difference between the people who continued training and those who did not is noticeable, the growth was much higher.

Regardless of age or level, it is important not to take for granted what they are supposed to know. The basis of my teaching is to explain in detail and with the greatest patience and love for taekwondo everything they need to know to be quality martial artists, with values and discipline, based on occasional games, healthy competitions or group coexistence to reinforce teamwork. and friendship, without losing sight of the main objective. The classes are aimed at the personal objectives of each one, depending on what they seek to achieve with this practice (competence, forms, condition, etc), however the bases are for everyone, physical conditioning, flexibility development, etc.
A person who is passionate about what they do, currently active in the sport, and knows the feelings of being a taekwondo student, is the best choice to teach.
