About Dahlia
I am a Physics tutor with more than 7 years of experience and hold an MSc in Applied Physics. My focus is on optics and wave phenomena, covering light, sound, and electromagnetic waves. I help students master ray tracing, interference, diffraction, and their technological applications. Many of my learners are studying photonics, telecommunications, or imaging sciences. My teaching emphasizes connecting fundamental physics with practical examples. Students gain strong analytical and problem-solving skills. I guide learners through diagrams, calculations, and experiments step by step. Lessons are interactive and encourage natural curiosity. I aim to make challenging concepts approachable and enjoyable. Many students I work with have gone on to succeed in advanced physics courses and research projects. I also show how these principles influence technology and everyday life. My sessions balance theory with hands-on understanding. Together, we explore how waves shape the way we experience light and sound. The joy of physics lies in seeing the world through its waves.

My teaching method is reflective, gentle, and focused on understanding physics through experimentation. I guide learners in experimental design, data collection, and error analysis. Students practice propagating uncertainties and interpreting results with care. I emphasize clear and structured scientific reporting, helping learners communicate their work confidently. DIY Scientists are encouraged to explore ideas independently, fostering creativity and problem-solving. Curiosity-Driven Learners are supported to find their own approach to investigations. I focus on connecting practical activities with core physics concepts. Lessons are interactive and hands-on, making learning engaging and meaningful. I break experiments into clear, manageable steps, reducing overwhelm. Mistakes are framed as opportunities to refine skills and understanding. Students gradually develop confidence in designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments. I also highlight real-world applications to show relevance. Together, we explore new ways to conduct experiments confidently. Physics becomes a tool for discovery, not just theory.
