About Erin
I am a Mom to two great young adults (ages 23 and 25). I helped them both graduate from high school since they struggled with some subjects in their senior years.
We have two cats: One named "Pepper," who is a female "cow" pattern cat, and "Mitt," who is a "tuxedo" pattern cat. Both are American shorthair cats, but "Mitt" seems to have a bit more fur than Pepper. They are fun to play with and very cuddly!
We live in a small Mojave desert community where it can get hot and dry during the summer. We get a lot of rainwater during the fall, winter, and spring. Some animals around us include tarantulas, ravens, doves, black widows, rattlesnakes, coyotes, and jackrabbits.
Our home has a backyard and a garage where we do our laundry and keep our car safe. We truly love our desert oasis!

My approach as a tutor includes the following:
- I base all studies on real-life examples, which help memory
-A typical lesson plan includes chapter comprehension, seat work and pre-exam/exam prep. In Science, lab work is essential.
-I am always kind, but firm; I invite each student to be "in charge" of his/her/their learning to ensure progress is achieved
-I offer tutoring for all grade levels to meet state standards. I have worked with learning-challenged and gifted students and know how to help them.
