I am a mother and grandmother who loves music and the piano as an instrument. I have a degree in music and have played the piano for many years, primarily in church and school settings, as well as teaching piano lessons.

I prefer to teach an individual student in a structured but informal setting in 30 or 45 minute weekly lessons, using graduated teaching materials appropriate to the student’s skill level. I like to emphasize the basics of finger dexterity and reading the music carefully which are necessary to play the piano well and advance in skill level.
