About Julia
My name is Julia and I am 27 years old. I went to Korea for the first time in 2018 and lived there for years. Before I went, I spent 10 months studying the language until I was able to communicate, read, write and understand things adequately in Korean. While I was there, to my surprise, there was so much more to learn. The culture and its nuances have such a big impact on how the language is actually spoken. I took the TOPIK test in Korea and got my certification in proficiency in 2021. Since then, I have been pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Film and Media at Arizona State University. I also have certification in the coding languages Python and SQL. During the pandemic, I posted videos in Korea that gained attention on social media which encouraged me to learn even more! Now I feel as though I can help others get to a proficiency level in Korean as well.

- My teaching method is to go at your own comfortable pace. Since I also learned Korean, I know what parts can be challenging and how to overcome learning plateaus. - Making sure you're comfortable with the alphabet, phonetics and grammar, we will slowly add in more vocabulary so that you can get to speaking and writing naturally. -These lessons are for anyone who wants to speak Korean or even learn more about Korean culture. Whether it's a hobby or you're interested in going to Korea, I can help you become confident in the language.
