About Ivonne

Hey I am Ivonne. I grew up in Guangzhou and both Cantonese and Mandarin are my first languages! I completed my first two years of college at a top university there before making the move to the United States.

I have a quite diverse academic background, earned my undergraduate degree in hospitality and tourism management (minor in photography) from Purdue and my master's degree in data science from University of Chicago. After working in the hospitality industry for a while, I discovered my passion for technology and am currently a software developer for a tech firm.

In my free time, I love exploring new places, trying new foods, and capturing moments through art and photography. I also enjoy outdoor activities, especially skiing, and I'm always interested in the latest technology trends. If any of these topics pique your interest, I'm excited to chat with you and learn more about your own interests and experiences. Let's make the most of this class together!
