About Iris
Hello! I’m Iris, your Chinese teacher. I fell in love with teaching because I believe languages open doors—to new friendships, opportunities, and ways of thinking. As someone who studied at the University of Melbourne and taught in China, I know how fun (and challenging!) learning Mandarin can be. My goal? To make our lessons engaging, clear, and tailored to you. Whether we’re practicing conversations, mastering characters, or exploring culture, I’m here to help you grow confidently. I am a qualified Chinese language teacher with experience teaching students from primary to secondary levels.

As a graduate of the University of Melbourne with four years of teaching experience (including three years part-time and one year full-time in China).
I create dynamic, age-appropriate lessons that balance structured learning with interactive activities.
My bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English allows me to support students at different proficiency levels, fostering both confidence and practical language use.
