About
I have been teaching on and off as an adjunct professor since 2001.
I have taught approximately 800-4,000 students in my years of teaching.
Many of my students have successful careers in the fields of design and advertising, photography, web design, fashion. Most have graduated and some have gone on to pursue Masters and Phd's.
I have also taught elementary school grades with art camps locally.
I have been the chairperson for the Art Appreciation Program at en elementary school writing curriculum for K-5 graders for different art movements and artists during the school year; featuring a different movement and activity for volunteers to teach the children curriculum every month during the academic calendar year. This has been a four year post.

I am an adjunct professor with 20 years of experience in the field of Creative Direction, Art Direction, Design, Broadcast Production, Production Management and Photography. I hold a BFA in Graphic Design and Fine Art from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester New York and a master’s in Advertising Design from Syracuse University and traveled the globe with the ISDP program researching and studying strategy in various communication, design, and advertising firms. With 20 years of experience in advertising agencies and in-house firms, I have experience with numerous business to business and business to consumer clients in New York, Los Angeles, Hawaii, and Charlotte.
My method of instruction includes brainstorming, hands on direction and discussion of concepts as they relate to the current marketplace. My teaching methodology is to 'teach a man to fish' and to inspire the next generation of creatives to do the best work possible in order to not only create things that are aesthetically pleasing, but to be relevant in the marketplace. To understand art, its place in the world, and to be able to apply these in a real world environment in order to be employable as an artist, whatever are of art they might endeavor to pursue. This also includes doing art for a hobby and not for any business purposes but for personal purposes.
