College professor of U.S. and World history with 10 years experience in Atlanta.

Methodology

Generally, my students are high school, lower and upper undergraduate college level. Instruction includes the relevance and importance of people, places and events rather than rote memorization. My "history lab" approach incorporates 'close' reading, exercises and expository writings. With a background in ESL, my teaching of international students in history combines the two approaches.

Background

I am a college professor of ten years and have had thousands of students. My education includes universities in the U.S. and England. I have authored three books on United States history with two others under contract on American Indian history and slavery in the United States.
