I'm a student, studying Physics, at SJSU. I've tutored elementary school, middle school, high school, community college, and SJSU students. The technique I like to use to teach these students is Socratic: paraphrase a student's question and make them come up with the correct answer, encouraging/guiding them along the way. I also try to make the environment comfortable and light-hearted when I'm around these types of people.
I started tutoring Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology to community college students about 5-6yrs ago. The tutoring lasted for about 2 yrs. Up to date, I've tutored over 150 students. Many of these students I've helped in Algebra, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Diff. Eq., Physics, and Chemistry. Students who I've tutored have always came back to me at the end of the semester happy with good results.
Right now I'm a student at SJSU working on a masters degree in Physics. I'm also considering a Bachelors in math. As of now, I've done little to no research in Physics, soon though! I hope.
