About Krem
I graduated with a BFA from Columbia College Chicago in 2017 after majoring in Traditional Animation and minoring in Creative Writing. I've also recently started classes at West LA College in pursuit of an Associate's in Business Management. In high school and college I was a part-time tutor, and I have almost a decade of experience in proofreading and editing essays, short stories, and screenplays. I've been volunteering with LGBTQ+ students ages 9-18 since 2018, including leading support groups and coordinating social events in the LA area.

My lessons help middle school and high school students complete writing assignments including project reports, creative writing, and essays. We focus on the building blocks of writing including making outlines, establishing structure, and properly finding/citing sources. We review techniques to construct original thoughts and analyses without reliance on technology. It's very important to me that outlines and first drafts are handwritten to encourage less screen time and engage creatively with the material. By tapping into students' interests and passions, I teach writing as a valuable method of sharing our thoughts and opinions with the world.
