About Skye
Teaching Economics has been my passion for more than 7 years, and I approach it as both an academic and a life skill. I believe that economics should be understood not only for exams but for making sense of the choices we face every day. My teaching is rooted in clarity and application. We cover everything from basic principles like scarcity and opportunity cost to advanced topics such as monetary policy and global trade. I always link these topics to practical examples, making them relevant and memorable. I often use creative tools like economic storytelling, where students follow the “life” of a product from production to consumption. We also analyze current events and historical case studies to deepen understanding. I have worked with neurodiverse learners, career changers, and adults seeking to use economics for personal decision-making. I create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are treated as opportunities to learn. Feedback is a regular part of my lessons, ensuring students know where they stand and how to improve. I want my students to leave not only with better grades but also with the ability to interpret the economic forces that shape our world. Economics is a lens, and I’m here to help them see clearly through it.

My Economics teaching style is systematic, aiming to make even the most complex topics approachable. We begin with foundational ideas like supply and demand, inflation, and GDP. Once those are clear, we move into advanced topics such as monetary policy, international trade, and behavioral economics.
I use real-world data, case studies, and interactive activities to connect theory to practice. Graph literacy is a key focus—students learn to read and create economic diagrams with ease.
Feedback is ongoing, with specific guidance on how to strengthen understanding. We revisit key ideas frequently to ensure they are retained. I also help students learn how to structure written responses for exams, making their arguments clear and concise.
I particularly enjoy teaching The Critical Thinker and The Financial Analyst in training. For them, I design lessons that link economics to strategic thinking and investment decisions.
By the end, my students can interpret events in the news with an economist’s perspective. That skill empowers them to make better choices in life and work.
