About Minor

I’m a rising senior undergraduate majoring in Game Development with a minor in Computer Science. I’m one of only two students at the College of Charleston awarded a summer research grant to continue work on a university-led VR game project. I’ve worked extensively on collaborative game and programming projects and have tutored other students throughout my time in college. I’m passionate about both game dev and teaching, and I enjoy helping others not just get through assignments, but actually understand the material

I approach tutoring with a focus on understanding and problem-solving, not just getting the right answer. My goal is to help you fully grasp the core concepts so you can apply them confidently, whether you’re writing your first script in Unity, trying to pass a tough CS class, or diving into advanced topics.

Teaching Method:
I adapt to each student’s needs and learning style. I use a mix of explanations, live coding, diagrams, and analogies, whatever helps the material click. If you're stuck, I’ll break things down and walk you through it step-by-step.

A Typical Lesson:
Every session is shaped around your goals. A typical lesson might include:

Reviewing a concept you're struggling with

Walking through example problems or code

Debugging a project together

Answering questions and preparing for an upcoming assignment or test

Lessons can be casual or structured depending on your preference, and I always leave time for Q&A or reinforcement.

What Sets Me Apart:
I’m not just repeating a textbook, I’m an undergraduate (rising senior) game development major who’s actually applying this knowledge in real projects. I’ve worked on collaborative student projects, including a VR game for the College of Charleston, and I’ve never scored below a 90 in any related class. I know what professors are looking for and how to help students succeed.

Use of AI:
With AI tools becoming more common in computer science and game development, I’ll show you how to use them effectively as tools, not crutches. While AI can help with debugging, syntax reminders, or giving you a starting point when you're stuck, it's useless without a solid understanding of the core concepts. AI won’t (and shouldn’t) be your shortcut to the final answer, but I’ll help you use it the right way, so it becomes a helpful part of your learning process rather than a replacement for it.

Who the Lessons Are For:
High school students, freshmen and sophomore college students, or adult learners

Beginners learning to code

Intermediate college students taking core CS courses (data structures, algorithms, computer graphics)

Anyone interested in Unity or game development concepts

Those needing help with Java, Python, JavaScript, or CS-related math

Sessions are available remotely or in person, and you set the pace. Whether you're just trying to survive a class or want to grow as a developer, I’ll help get you there.
