About Anjali
Hi, I'm Anjali Kolapalli, a Computer Science student at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree, I'm deeply immersed in coursework covering Computing and Programming, Software Development, and Data Structures and Algorithms.
I'm passionate about education and have dedicated time as a Tutor at Ingenify. There, I provided personalized instruction to students, helping them improve academically and prepare for exams.
In my spare time, I'm deeply engaged in programming projects. Currently, I'm working on a 2-D Dungeon Crawler Game, where I'm introducing innovative power-ups and refining collision mechanisms to elevate the gaming experience. Additionally, I've developed an Event-Weather Tracker, seamlessly integrating APIs to enhance user experience and writing robust code for error handling.
Active within the Georgia Tech community, I'm involved in the Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity and NothingButTreble. I'm also honored to be a recipient of the Will To Live Scholarship.
Beyond academics and work, I indulge in my interests such as Kuchipudi dance, singing, makeup artistry, and snorkeling. These passions enrich my life and provide a well-rounded perspective beyond the realm of technology and academia.

As a tutor specializing in elementary to high school math, my approach is tailored to each student's individual needs, aiming to instill a deep understanding of mathematical concepts while fostering confidence and critical thinking skills. Here's how I typically structure my tutoring sessions:
Teaching Method and Techniques:
I utilize a combination of traditional teaching methods and modern pedagogical approaches to create an engaging and effective learning experience. My techniques include:
Conceptual Understanding: I prioritize building a strong foundation of mathematical concepts rather than focusing solely on rote memorization of formulas.
Problem-Solving Practice: I emphasize problem-solving techniques and strategies, guiding students through step-by-step solutions while encouraging them to think critically and independently.
Interactive Learning: I incorporate interactive activities, visual aids, and real-world examples to make abstract concepts more tangible and relatable.
Assessment and Feedback: I regularly assess students' progress through quizzes, tests, and homework assignments, providing constructive feedback to help them identify areas for improvement.
Personalized Instruction: I tailor my teaching approach to suit each student's learning style, pace, and academic goals, providing additional support and clarification where needed.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Review: Brief review of previous lesson concepts and any homework assignments.
Introduction: Introduction of new concepts or topics, with clear explanations and demonstrations.
Guided Practice: Guided practice problems to reinforce understanding and demonstrate problem-solving strategies.
Independent Practice: Independent practice problems for students to work on, with assistance and guidance as necessary.
Review and Feedback: Review of completed problems, discussion of any challenges or misconceptions, and feedback on performance.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
Holistic Approach: I prioritize not only academic achievement but also the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and study skills that will benefit students beyond the classroom.
Personalized Attention: I take the time to understand each student's unique learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement, adapting my teaching approach accordingly.
Passion for Math: I am genuinely passionate about mathematics and strive to convey that enthusiasm to my students, fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
Target Audience:
My lessons are designed for elementary to high school students seeking support in mathematics, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and precalculus. Whether students are struggling with foundational concepts or aiming to excel in advanced coursework, my tutoring services cater to a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
