I’ve known Glenn for about eight years, during which time I have been lucky enough to play in various groups led by him, including a quintet that played mostly his own compositions.
Glenn is an equally gifted and versatile saxophonist and composer. He is also someone who thinks deeply about and who clearly loves music. I have certainly learned quite a bit playing with him as a horn partner, from him as a band leader, and across from him in many conversations about the art form across multiple genres. I have no doubt that any students who studied privately with him would have an equally valuable learning experience.
