About Hudson
With over 7 years of professional vocal coaching experience, I specialize in helping singers develop not just technique but also the confidence to express themselves fully. I teach a wide range of students, from high school and college performers preparing for auditions and recitals to adults exploring singing as a new passion or continuing their vocal journey. My lessons focus on building a solid technical foundation—breath control, support from the diaphragm, healthy vocal cord function, resonance development, and pitch accuracy—to ensure sustainable vocal health. But singing is more than just technique; it’s storytelling through music. I guide students in interpreting songs with emotional authenticity, focusing on phrasing, dynamics, and connecting with the audience through genuine performance. Technology plays a key role in my teaching, with frequent use of live recordings, piano accompaniment, and digital tools for ear training and rhythm exercises that enhance the learning experience. I also foster creativity by supporting songwriting and vocal improvisation, which helps students develop their personal style and musical voice. My repertoire spans multiple genres, including pop, R&B, jazz, musical theater, and contemporary styles, always tailored to each student’s voice and artistic interests. I help students prepare for live performances, auditions, and recording sessions, providing coaching in stage presence, performance anxiety management, and vocal care. Every voice is unique, and I’m committed to providing a supportive, personalized space where you can grow technically and artistically, gaining the skills and confidence to sing powerfully and expressively.

When I teach voice, I’m not just teaching notes or exercises—I’m helping students discover the emotional and physical intelligence that lives inside their voices. Over the last seven years, I’ve taught students from age eight to adult, guiding them through the fundamentals of singing while encouraging their creativity and confidence to bloom. Lessons start with a strong focus on technique: breath management, vocal support, tone clarity, flexibility, pitch control, and clean register transitions.
I make sure students understand not only how to do something but why it matters, helping them build conscious and sustainable technique. From there, we dive into repertoire that speaks to their interests—be it pop ballads, musical theatre classics, indie-folk gems, or jazzy standards. I coach expressive delivery, emotional connection, and personal storytelling, always keeping the student’s identity and style at the center of our work. My studio also includes tools like guided warm-ups, pitch feedback software, and student performance videos, which help us document progress and target specific goals.
I frequently include ear training, harmony work, and vocal improvisation to expand musicianship. We also talk about vocal health—hydration, recovery, warm-up/cool-down protocols, and how to listen to your body when it’s tired. For students preparing for auditions or performances, I provide coaching that goes beyond technique: we talk stage presence, nerves, connection, and mindset. What matters most to me is that every student feels empowered in their process. I aim to create a space where growth feels exciting, where mistakes are part of learning, and where every voice is welcomed just as it is. If you’re ready to learn how to sing with both skill and soul, I’ll meet you at the mic with encouragement, tools, and tailored support.
