Hello! I'm a senior at NYU living in the vibrant heart of New York City. I bring creativity and a passion for learning to my tutoring sessions, ensuring an engaging and personalized experience. Outside of academics, I love exploring the city's thrift shops, visiting art galleries, hiking, and staying informed on political issues. My diverse interests help me connect with students on multiple levels, making learning enjoyable and relatable. With prior tutoring experience, I believe that what makes a good tutor is being able to understand the student! My individualized tutoring approach focuses on understanding each student's unique needs and learning style. I emphasize guiding students to discover solutions on their own, reinforcing concepts rather than them simply memorizing them. This fosters critical thinking and builds confidence, ensuring they truly grasp the material and become independent learners. By creating a supportive and engaging environment, I help students develop effective study strategies and a genuine love for learning.
I have tutored children anywhere from elementary to college level kids and excel in a multitude of subjects. Achieving national level awards for my English, government/political science, and math skills--I feel very confident in my ability to tutor anyone in whatever area they may need.
As a current senior at NYU, I also understand the stress of applying to colleges and have a multitude of advice that I would be willing to offer to students who are in the midst of applying or starting to think about their applications. My experience combined with my understanding of what makes an application stand out is a resource I would love to share!
