About Maxim
I took AP Computer Science in the 10th grade. Since that time, I've worked with computers at all levels of abstraction. I've soldered together audio-reactive light strips, did the geometry necessary for an echolocating LEGO robot, implemented an efficient prime factorization algorithm - these are just some of my personal projects.
I've tutored in math, physics, and writing at Franklin High School. I'm passionate about these subjects, and I genuinely am excited just to share my experience with other students.
Moreover, I have access to some of the most comprehensive and current material being taught at an undergraduate level.
About the lesson

Who I teach: Anyone unfamiliar with fundamental-to-intermediate programming concepts like OOP, control flow, algorithms and data structures, preferably at least in high school.
What I teach: Practice makes perfect. If the student is just looking to gain a better understanding of CS in general, we'll be building circuits in Logisim, writing programs in MIPS assembly, then doing practice problems from CLRS; otherwise I'll defer to the student's teacher.
How I teach: Every student learns and thinks about programming differently, and there is no "right" way to do so. Some students need hands-on problem solving practice, others need a greater understanding of the material; some students like to discuss the material, and others like diagrams and visual representations - the only best way, is the way that works best for them.
