I am a very laid-back type of teacher that likes to establish connections with the students as soon as I meet them to encourage a community-like setting. I love talking sports, TV shows, and keeping up with your interests so we have something to talk about before each class.

I have been teaching since 2013, my first two years were spent in a self contained classroom in which I taught all subjects. The next three years were spent teaching Science at South Canton Scholars in Canton, MI which is constantly in the top ten schools in Michigan. Since 2018 I have been working at Derby Middle School as a Science teacher in Birmingham, MI.
In my time as a science teacher I have implemented three different curriculums starting with Foss Kits, then STEMScopes, and finally my current curriculum of IQWST Science.
My lessons typically start with a prior knowledge piece to see what the students already know, then move in to practice lessons, followed with individual practice before an assessment.
