I’m a Deaf person fluent in ASL. I have been teaching/tutoring students with their ASL classes as well as their interpreting programs for over 10 years. I'd love the opportunity to tutor and help those interested in the ASL culture. We can coordinate a schedule according to your preferred availability.

I've been taking 1-hour lessons with Taj bi-weekly for a few months now, and it was the best decision I could have made. She is a wonderful teacher as well as patient and understanding if you need to reschedule or are having technical difficulties. She's also a wonderful person. We, of course, always have a lesson plan for each meeting, but she has no problem deferring from the plan to have a small side conversation or to help you with a particular area you don't feel strong in yet. If you are interested in learning ASL, I would highly recommend scheduling a lesson with her. I’ve loved my time with her and will continue to take lessons with her.
I'm an international student and I learned American Sign Language for my monologue presentation. There was nothing difficult or challenging about working with Taj.
Taj taught me each line clearly and well, and made me feel confident to do it. She repeated it so I could follow her, and took it slow and easy.

I had the pleasure of meeting Taj through work, and she’s lovely. I had taken ASL in school, but it’s been a few years and I’m terribly out of practice. Whenever I tried to communicate with her via sign, I think I had to finger spell every other word but she was endlessly patient, reminding me of signs or teaching me new ones.
