As an ESL tutor, my teaching methodologies and techniques are adaptive to the needs of individual student learning preferences and goals.

My lessons are for the following ESL Levels:

- A1 - Beginner:
Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases.
Introduce themselves and others and ask/answer questions about personal details.
Interact in a simple way if the other person speaks slowly and clearly.

-A2 - Elementary:
Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions.
Communicate in simple and routine tasks.
Describe aspects of their background, immediate environment, and matters of immediate need.

-B1 - Intermediate:
Can understand the main points of clear, standard input on familiar matters.
Engage in conversation on topics related to work, school, and leisure.
Describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions.

- B2 - Upper-Intermediate:
Can understand the main ideas of complex text.
Communicate with a degree of spontaneity and fluency.
Discuss and provide detailed information on a wide range of topics.

- C1 - Advanced:
Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts.
Express ideas fluently and spontaneously.
Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes.

-C2 - Proficient:
Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.
Summarize information from different spoken and written sources.
Express themselves spontaneously, very fluently, and precisely.

Some of my teaching techniques include the following:

- Total Physical Response (TPR): Associating language with physical actions, enhancing vocabulary retention through movement and gestures, especially beneficial for beginners.
- Audio-Lingual Method: Focuses on repetition, memorization, and mimicry to develop oral skills. Often involves drilling and repetition exercises.
- Communicative Language Teaching (CLT): Emphasizes interaction as both the means and goal of learning. Focuses on real-life communication and practical language use.

What can you expect a typical lesson to look like with me:

- II. Warm-Up (10 minutes):

Engage students with a brief activity to activate prior knowledge or introduce the topic.
Example: Quick discussion, vocabulary game, or a short video related to the lesson.

-III. Introduction (5 minutes):

Present the lesson's main topic and objectives.
Example: Briefly introduce the theme, share an interesting fact, or present a real-life scenario related to the lesson.

-IV. Presentation (15 minutes):

Introduce new vocabulary, grammar rules, or language structures.
Use visuals, examples, and context to make concepts clear.
Encourage questions and discussion.
Example: Present a dialogue, showcase relevant images, or provide a short reading passage.

-V. Practice (20 minutes):

Allow students to actively use the new language.
Provide various activities such as role-playing, pair work, or group discussions.
Correct errors and provide feedback.
Example: Role-play scenarios, fill-in-the-blank exercises, or interactive games.

- VI. Production (15 minutes):

Foster independent use of the language.
Assign tasks that require applying the new knowledge.
Encourage creativity and critical thinking.
Example: Writing a short paragraph, creating a dialogue, or completing a project related to the lesson.
