Working with Carol has been one of the best learning experiences of my life, and a major boost for my art career. In fact, after working with her for a few months I have decided to mostly transition from sculpture to 2D art as a result of working with her. She has decades of experience with both Photoshop and teaching, and in my view is an expert at both. Carol’s knowledge of Photoshop is both practical and comprehensive, and she knows multiple ways to approach any given challenge. She has the gift of being able to break down technical strategies into choices that are understandable and steps that are reasonable for me at my stage of learning. Plus, she has a larger view of art and design that she brings to our collaboration, and a sense of humor and authenticity that you might not expect from a technical tutor. Anybody who is lucky enough to work with her will no doubt be as grateful as I am for the opportunity.
Carol was my first year professor at Parsons School of Design. The pandemic hit during her semester. Amidst chaos, Carol was incredibly responsible and understanding. She was fast to organize zoom classes and offered individual sessions to students needing to catch up.
Carol cares genuinely about every student and always tries her best!I’ve know Carol most of my life. She’s a natural, wonderful teacher who is dedicated to her students and their success. If you are looking to develop your skills and ideas as an artist, she’s an exceptional choice.
I’ve known Carol since we were students at The Cooper Union School of Art in NYC together. She is a accomplished and successful artist. She has a wide range of skills from drawing and drafting to photography, painting, and digital arts. She has been teaching since we were in school. She is an exceptional educator who is deeply invested in her students’ advancement and success.
Carol was my program elective teacher for Digital Painting. She was a very informative teacher and was very detailed in her teaching material. Apart from the curriculum, she provided great advice in terms of career-building and is a great source of support in general. I highly recommend Carol for not only credible educational insight but also an authentic connection.
I took Carol's Digital Painting class at Parsons School of Design at The New School. She is one of my favorite professors. I'm a student at another school at The New School, so I didn't have much prior knowledge in the field. She made sure I didn't get left behind and was always available during office hours and after class to help me. I learned so much from her. Her feedback was always encouraging. She is the most caring professor I know and I recommend her 100%. Taking her course gave me the confidence to learn new skills from scratch and grow as an artist.
