About Alvaro

I have +10 years of experience as an economist and applied econometrician. I have used several statistical and econometric packages, including some programming language, and I am not foreign to data analysis in Python, R, Matlab, among others. As a tutor, I have taught since I was in college as a volunteer, and have experience teaching from high schoolers up to graduate students since then, with a total of +10 years of tutoring experience.

About the lesson

My teaching method consists of first evaluating the student's needs and concerns, so that you learn more effectively by:

-1. I will try to gauge your main motivation for learning the material: what do you expect to get out of it and in what timeframe. If you have a plan or there is something specific that you want to do, we can start from this. Otherwise, we'll go to point 2.
-2. We will review the material to identify possible gaps in your knowledge. We will use this to focus in the weakest areas first, so that you improve faster.
-3. We will use point 1 and, possible, an explanation of additional material, to keep you motivated and focused throughout the lessons.
-My lessons are focused in the areas of Econometrics, Economics, Finance, Statistics and Mathematics.
