About Siying
I have taught three years in Australia, and am now working as an IST in Vancouver. Growing up in Singapore, I also have native fluency in both English and Chinese. I specialize in teaching English to ESL learners, as well as Mandarin to students with no Mandarin speaking backgrounds. I have a total of 4 years (and counting) of experience.
I currently teach conversational Chinese to both children and working adults, and also specialize in teaching English to children of ESL backgrounds. I have prepared textbooks, workbooks, and lesson notes so that our lessons have an organized structure.

I've been teaching languages (English and Chinese) for almost ten years, and teach them through combined methods. My lessons are usually separated into four parts: a revision of the previous lesson's content, new grammar, new vocabulary, and finally practice that seeks to combine both the grammar and vocabulary taught that class.
With that being said, I will create a different lesson plan for each student/class after our first meeting, depending on their needs (business conversations or daily conversations, etc.) and how often we schedule these classes.
