Elementary Math in South Carolina from a Math Interventionist with a Masters
Methodology
My name is Mrs. Smith (recently got married!) and I teach elementary math subjects. I am a math interventionist and use lots of hands-on manipulatives and exciting games! I get students to think about their thinking and motivate them to learn. I connect learning to the real-world and make it relative for students.
Background
I have been teaching for 9 years at Title I elementary schools. I currently teach 15 4th graders and 13 5th graders and all of them have shown gains in math. Their fact fluency has sky-rocketed and their love of math has soared! :-)
