About Elena
I’m a violin tutor with a Graduate Diploma in Violin Pedagogy and over 10 years’ experience, focusing on integrating music theory, aural skills, and sight reading into violin practice. I help students prepare for theory exams and develop advanced harmony understanding. My method uses practical bowing and fingering exercises to teach scales, intervals, and harmony in a hands-on way. This approach helps students link theory with their playing and improve sight-reading. Many of my students are exam candidates or want to strengthen their overall musical fluency. I aim to develop well-rounded violinists who feel confident in both playing and music theory. Combining these skills makes music learning richer and more rewarding.
