About Thomas
I am a student at the Gardanne campus of L'Ecole des Mines de Saint Etienne after a preparatory class for the grandes écoles in MP * (Specialized in Mathematics and Physics) in Paris. I am competent to give courses in mathematics or physics at least until the bac (I had 20 in these two subjects for my Bac S special Maths).
I really like trying to get the people I help to understand on their own the notions that block them, which is what makes teaching a class stimulating to me: it There is a particular path for each pupil which can lead him to circumvent what makes his teaching opaque.
Finding this path does not only make it possible to make the pupil able to perform the tasks that one academically expects him to know how to validate or to make it possible for him to assimilate the following notions: to find this path , above all allows him to feel deeply that no problem, however complex it may be, is beyond his reach because of an unlucky disposition to his disadvantage.

I want to help the student, first by finding his blocking points in the assimilation of the course, then by transmitting to him the effective ways of approaching a problem in science (the good questions to ask oneself when one does not know not where to start, more specifically also the tips and the methodology to solve the exercises etc ...) and finally the way to write effectively (very important to really progress from a certain level). I also wish to seriously insist on the ways of working at home, and the ways of approaching an evaluation (examination, control ...) which also allow to significantly improve one's results regardless of one's predispositions.
Unless the student lives in Gardanne or Aix-en-Provence, my lessons can only take place at a distance mainly (since my campus is a little geographically isolated). I can nevertheless travel punctually if the student lives in the Paris region. As I realize that having distance learning courses can be off-putting, I always suggest doing two trial classes, which you only agree to pay if they are satisfactory to you.
