About Rachel
Hi there!
Are you or someone you know looking for a math tutor who can help make the subject come to life and build confidence? I am here to help! My name is Rachel, second-year engineering student, and I have a passion for teaching mathematics and helping students succeed.
My approach is to break down complex problems into manageable parts, use real-world examples to explain concepts and encourage practice with plenty of problems. I foster a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes!
Whether you or your student is in elementary, middle, or high school, I can customize my teaching approach to match their individual learning style and pace. My goal is to help students develop a strong foundation in mathematics and grow their love for the subject.
Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you're interested in setting up a tutoring session or if you have any questions. I'm looking forward to helping you or your student succeed in mathematics!

My lessons will go as follows:
Assessing current knowledge: I start by determining what topics they have covered in class and where they need the most help. This will help me tailor my teaching approach to their needs.
Using real-world examples: Explaining mathematical concepts using real-world examples that are relevant and engaging to the student.
Breaking down complex problems: For students who struggle with complex problems, I break the problem down into smaller, more manageable parts and guide them through the solution step by step.
Practising: Providing the student with plenty of practice problems and encouraging them to solve them independently.
Fostering a positive learning environment: Creating a positive and supportive learning environment, where the student will feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
Providing feedback: Giving constructive and positive feedback on their progress, and helping the student see their strengths and areas for improvement.
Personalizing my approach: Every student is unique, so I personalize my teaching approach to match each student's learning style and pace.
