About Nadia
All tutor sessions are conducted by FaceTime Video or Zoom. Your goal(s) for your tutor session(s) are discussed first, and we write them down together. Then we discuss the budget and number of sessions you would like to complete your goal. You are the writer, I am the writing tutor. So you will be doing your own writing and hopefully producing a highly effective piece of work if that is your goal. No in-person sessions.

I have my J.D. degree in law and my B.A. degree in philosophy with a minor in economics. I won the departmental prize and high honors for my college thesis on nuclear deterrence theory.
I taught Persuasive Writing as a T. A. in an M.B.A. program at a major university, and Legal Brief Writing to law students. I won Best Brief and Best Oral Argument in law school moot court competition, and I competed on the National Moot Court Team. As a lawyer, I have written memos, reports, speeches, legal briefs, and settlement agreements about matters pertaining to patents, technology, damages analysis, financial instruments and markets, and legal issues. In another stage of my life, as a small business owner, I wrote engaging, successful marketing copy. I wrote, and taught employees how to write, lesson plans and programs pertaining to fitness, exercises, human anatomy, and kinesis. As a parent, I have supported my children in writing their own unique college application essays. Both have been accepted into an Ivy League university.
My approach to tutoring you in writing in the English language begins with my listening to you. I want to learn about your project and any writing challenges you’d like to overcome. Then we discuss your work plan, budget, and the number of tutoring sessions you would like for your project. We will immediately get to work. We will systematically address sentence structure, use of grammar and punctuation, tone, and your unique writing voice. Writing becomes easier with practice. My utmost goal as a tutor is to help create the space in which you become your best writer!
