About Arati
I've been a teacher both in and out of the classroom for a decade, and one of my favorite things is connecting with a student and finding the right way to help them. I believe that everyone walks into the room with existing literacies and I know my job is to take their strengths and use them to increase their reading and writing skills.
Whether or not you enjoy reading and writing, you are capable of moving through the world comprehending what's around you and expressing yourself. And I want to help you get there!
I'm also a published poet and have experience performing and competing in slam poetry competitions. If you want to explore creative writing or practice your performance and public speaking, I would love to help you with that too!
