About Esteban

As a tutor with a passion for language teaching, I am dedicated to helping my students discover the power of effective communication in English and Spanish. With a methodology focused on the needs of each student, I design dynamic and personalized classes that go beyond grammar and vocabulary, leading students to practice real-life situations and explore the culture behind the language. About the lesson

• Before diving in, I assess the learner’s current skill level and specific goals. This helps me tailor lessons to their needs, whether they’re aiming to improve conversational fluency, academic writing, grammar skills, or vocabulary expansion.
• I also discuss learning preferences to determine if they respond best to structured lessons, immersive exercises, or interactive dialogues.
2. Emphasis on Practical Communication
• Language is best learned through active use, so I prioritize real-life conversational skills alongside grammar and vocabulary. For both English and Spanish, I guide learners through role-playing everyday scenarios, from casual conversations to formal exchanges.
• For example, if someone is learning for travel, we focus on phrases, questions, and responses they’re likely to use. For professionals, we work on industry-specific vocabulary and formal communication.
3. Integrated Grammar and Vocabulary Building
• Rather than teaching grammar as a set of rules to memorize, I introduce grammar in context, using examples, and slowly incorporating it into speaking and writing activities.
• For vocabulary, I focus on themes (like travel, business, or family), providing words in meaningful clusters. I also encourage learners to create their own example sentences and practice through active recall to solidify new terms.
4. Cultural Insights and Real-World Examples
• Language is deeply tied to culture, so I incorporate cultural lessons that reflect how native speakers actually use the language. This might include discussing idiomatic expressions, exploring popular media, or explaining cultural nuances.
• I might introduce Spanish learners to popular music or literature from Latin America or Spain, and for English learners, news articles, podcasts, or TV clips that offer real-life context.
5. Interactive Practice and Feedback
• I prioritize speaking and listening practice, especially through dialogues, role-playing, and conversation drills.
