About Audrey
I am currently studying English at Carnegie Mellon University and have tutored high school students in SAT English for more than a year. After taking hundreds of SAT and ACT practice tests when I was in high school, I scored a 790 in the SAT English section, and have helped my students increase their SAT scores from 1340 to 1560. I look forward to working with you! :)

As a tutor, I emphasize clarity, engagement, and adaptability. My teaching method involves breaking down complex concepts into digestible parts and encouraging active participation through problem-solving and discussion. I tailor lessons to each student’s learning style and pace, often beginning with a diagnostic assessment to identify strengths and challenges.
My typical lesson starts with a brief review, followed by interactive instruction on a new topic, practice exercises, and reflection. I often assign follow-up tasks to reinforce learning.
What sets me apart is my focus on developing critical thinking rather than rote memorization, along with a patient, supportive approach that builds student confidence.
My lessons are ideal for high school students preparing for the SAT and/or ACT, but I also coach university students in essay writing.
