About Miha

As a piano teacher with more than 8 years of experience and a degree in music education, my focus is on providing each student with a personalized approach that fosters both technical proficiency and creative expression. I believe that learning the piano should be an enjoyable process, and I strive to make each lesson engaging and motivating. For beginners, I start by teaching fundamental skills such as note reading, rhythm, and hand coordination. I then move on to basic techniques, helping students understand how to play simple melodies and build a strong foundation in music theory. As students progress, I introduce more complex material, such as advanced scales, arpeggios, and sight-reading exercises, allowing them to develop a deeper understanding of music. I believe that students should be exposed to various genres, so I incorporate classical, jazz, pop, and contemporary pieces into my lessons, ensuring that students become well-rounded musicians. Creativity is a big part of my teaching philosophy, and I encourage students to experiment with improvisation and composition, helping them develop their own musical ideas. I also work on building performance skills, offering students the opportunity to perform in recitals and other public settings, where they can showcase their growth and gain valuable experience. My aim is to create a positive and nurturing environment where students feel supported and empowered to reach their full musical potential.

As students advance, I incorporate more challenging pieces, develop their improvisational skills, and encourage exploration of different musical genres like classical, jazz, and modern pop. My lessons also include ear training and sight-reading exercises, giving students the tools to improve their musical understanding and overall performance ability. I believe in fostering a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment where students feel motivated to achieve their full potential on the piano.
